During the holiday season, it is very common and socially acceptable (in most cases) to exchange Christmas greetings by the giving and receiving of cards. These cards come in all different sizes, qualities, and individual greetings. In the majority of cases, they come with various Bible verses from differing translations, and rarely convey the message we really want to send. After we cross out the reference, correct the verse, and add our own personal sentiment, that $2-$3 card and matching envelope are ready to attach to a gift, go into the mail, or be dropped off on our holiday journeys.
The Gospel is the most important message the world will ever hear; what a marvelous way to present the greatest need and the greatest answer to that need. Many people do not understand how sin came into the world, or why a payment for sin must be made, or how that payment can be made. The story is more than a baby born in a manger, and more than shepherds abiding in their fields at night. This is the story of the sinless life of Christ, His sacrificial death, His separation through His burial, and the satisfying of sin's debt through His resurrection.
Personalization with your kind thoughts and warm considerations can be easily added in the space provided on the inside cover. These can be addressed to family, friends, staff, co-workers, or even civil servants such as your mail carrier, police, fire and rescue and military personnel- the list goes on and on! This allows you to sow the seed that can reap the harvest. Once a year, an open door allows us to share our thoughts and concerns and find them received as at no other time or season.
We have included an invitation for personal consideration. The appeal is real, it is genuine, and it is from a true and compassionate concern. The story is not exclusive, but rather inclusive. We are all in the same condition and we all have the same obligation; believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved! Sins forgiven, sacrifice accepted, and a Saviour to abide with us forever!
The beautiful illustrations create a dramatic presentation of the story, while the carefully orchestrated narrative clearly presents the message of salvation, of the sinless sacrifice, and of the Saviour and the Son of God. The Biblical account consists of relevant, easy to read passages from the King James Bible that flow in a column down the left side of every page.
